each drug is, it is a guidline to inform you that IF you take
one of the drugs below, be aware of its effects - We are not here
to say "Dont do it", just be aware please!!
Drugs - A To Z
Amphetamines
/ Speed
Otherwise known
as : Whizz, Uppers
What is it? A synthetic drug which stumulates
the body's nervous system in the same way as adrenaline.
How is ut used?
Sniffed, injected
or smoked - But most commonly swallowed.
Usual Effects
- It makes you
feel happy and wide awake, and the effects last for several hours.
Damage Of Using
it : You can get
an unpleasant 'high' which results in panic, anxiety and paranoia.
Long term use can result in the risk of developing a mental illness,
liver damage, insomnia and weight loss.
Ecstasy
Otherwise Known
As : E, Cloves,
XTC, Diamonds, Strawberries, Apples, Rhubard and Custard (variant
on the colours)
What Is It?A stimulant called MDMA, usually
cut with speed or acid. In cheaper supplies in can be mixed with
whatever the dealers choice is - Literally.
How Is It Used:
Swallowed in a pill form
Ususal Effects:Gives you a rush of happiness and
exhilaration. Also friendly and energetic.
Damage Of Using
It: No long term
user research has been conducted as of yet, but there have been
several deaths from use when combined with alcohol, which is in
the form of severe dehydration, exhaustion, or overloading the
bodies metabolism. All have the possibilities of causing death,
either with or without alcohol. Several other effects may yet
be undocumented.
Cocaine
Otherwise Known
As : Charlie, Coke,
Crack, Rocks, Snow
What Is It?
A white powder,
Crack taking the form of raisin sized chunks of cocaine.
How Is Used?
As a powder sniffed
or injected, Crack is smoked.
Usual Effects:A sense of exhilaration, no feelings
of pain or fatigue and feelings of strength in mind and body.
Damage Of Using
It: Extremely addictive,
expensive, and once addicted it takes more and more Cocaine to
get a high of the last one.
Heroin
Otherwise Known
As : Gear, Smack,
Boy, China, White, H, Junk, Skag,
What Is It?
In powder form
it can take the form of an off white to a brown colour.
How Is Used:
Injected, sniffed
or smoked. However injecting can give you greater high, but is
far more dangerous.
Usual Effects: It can give you a feeling of drowsy
happiness, contentment. The higher the dose the greater the feeling
of calmness eventually falling into unconciousness.
Damage Of Using
It: Similar to
Cocaine, there is an increasing amount of Heroin needed to achieve
a high, and an overdose will lead to a fatality. Withdrawl symptoms
are like a heavy flu, with aches, chills, sneezing, sweating,
and tremors. Also sometimes a hampering effect on your ability
to breath can occur, which can asphyxiate and kill you.
LSD
Otherwise Known
As : Acid, Trips
What Is It? A hallucinogenic, which is a drug
that can cause your perception of the world to be distorted by
varying degrees. Impregnated on small squares of blotting paper,
known as tabs or trips, it can be put in a drink or taken orally.
They come in various forms often with artwork on one side.
How Is Used?
Tabs are swallowed
and take between half an hour to an hour to take effect.
Usual Effects:
Results of 'out
of body' experiences can occur plus various effects on your vision,
like colour distortion or the appearance of strange patterns in
your vision.
Damage Of Using
It: The effects
of LSD are random and varied, which can be enjoyment, to depression.
It is not an addictive drug, but can cause varied mental effects
that could last long term.
Magic
Mushrooms
Otherwise Known
As :Mushies
What Is It?
Mushrooms found
in the wild which can cause a mild hallucination.
How Is Used?
Swallowed raw,
cooked, or brewed into a drink.
Usual Effects:
They can induce
euphoria to hilarity.
Damage Of Using
It: High doses
can casuse visual distortions, accompanied by nausea, vomiting,
and stomach cramps. The highest risk is by not eating the right
mushroom.
GHB
Otherwise Known
As : GBH, Greavious
Bodily Harm, Liquid X, Liquid E, Gammo - O
What Is It?
A synthetically
manufacturered substance which is sold in small bottles of a clear
liquid. Or in the form of a powder.
How Is Used? The powder is usually mixed with
a fruit juice, as the taste is less that to be desired, and then
drank. It is very dangerous to mix with alcohol or any other drug
at the time.
Usual Effects:
Can produce a mild
euphoric feeling and a general sense of well being and happiness.
Also a loss of inhibitions can be a danger, which is usually linked
with an almost alcohol effect drowsiness. The effects can last
anything up to 2 hours.
Damage Of Using
It: A small overdose
can result in loss of muscle control, which could be co-ordination
loss, diarrhoea, and muscle contractions. Unconcioussness for
the duration of 3 to 5 hours can happen. Larger doses can cause
a state of coma, heart problems, respiratory problems which could
easily lead to death. Some bad 'cuts' can involve sodium hydroxide
which can cause acid burns around the mouth.
Cannabis
Otherwise Known
As : Blow, Dope,
Ganja, Spliff, Skunk, Hash, Pot, Gear
What Is It? Resin form or leaves / bushes
of the cannabis plant.
How Is Used?
Smoked generally
with the assistance of tobacco, or brewed into a drink, or mixed
into food.
Usual Effects:
Induces a state
of relaxation together with hightened appreciation of sound and
or colour.
Damage Of Using
It: May cause paranoia.
Large amounts may cause visual distortions, forgetfullness, or
minor hallucinogenice effects.
